What is your opinion on women breastfeeding in public?
I breastfed my 2 babies for 3 months and at times i had to breastfed in public eg. on a train or bus. I had no problem doing it as i kept myself covered witha a blanket, But i did get alot if stares from people mainly oldler couples. What do you think? If you think it is wrong why?
Just wondering as it seems to still be talked about alot in the media yet i hear more people say they have no problem with it them people that do
I have a 4month old who I exclusive breatfeed, I do it whenever and wherever I am. I don’t think is something women should be ashamed of and older couples who started giving formula when it became available are not that excited about breasfeeding in public. Even some family members of mine still get uncomfortable when I feed my baby. I always use a receiving blanket so I have never just pop my boop out. But some older people who didn’t grow up seeing women breastfeed might see it different, but even younger people sometimes still dont approve of a breastfeeding mother. I love to see a mother breastfeeding her child and I usually give her a smile and a nod so that she knows I am recognazing what she is doing is great and above all natural. I still don’t understand how can some people look at those pictures in bars of women in beer advertisement in only a string bikini and a circle covering the nipple and are ok with that but not with a mother feeding a child.!!!! So I tell you girls:The more we breastfeed in public and introduce this up-coming generation how breast are not always sexual and that the body has them so that we can feed out children, the more accepted it will become.
