Breastfeeding weight loss question…?

Was there ever a time in the months of breastfeeding where all of a sudden you just suddenly started losing weight (much easier if you’d been trying, or unexpectantly if you weren’t trying) ??? I’ve heard that your body can “hold onto” extra lbs for a while until bfing is established and sometimes won’t let you lose them until you’ve weaned…?? thoughts?? Experiences?????

*I plan to bf for at least a year- so it doesn’t matter either way… i’m curious though TIA*
Just wanted to add that I have been BFing my son for 4 months … I’m finding the weight is coming off very slowly and just wondered when breastfeeding actually ”helps” lol… cause it totally seems like i’m doing ALL the work here… ha

My final 10 lbs or so never lets go until baby’s completely weaned.

I never, ever have experienced the ‘the lbs just fall off’ thing during breastfeeding. I always lose that initial 17-20 lbs from baby and then just stop there. I have to work at it to get the weight off…and while bf-ing, you are only supposed to lose about 1 lb a week, so it’s definitely slow, that’s for sure.
