I have flu-like symtems and am breastfeeding my baby?

Last Thursday I had sneezing and running nose that would not stop, then Friday I was congested, had a fever of 99.9 after taking Tylenol a hour and half before, then I got body aches and chills. Saturday I got a cough, sunday it was a little better, today I’m better but not completely

My child is teething so I really don’t know if he already had it because he was stuffed up and now has a cough, vomiting in the morning all last week before I got sick (Monday-Thursday)

So I took cold/flu medicine and pumped and dumped and only had contact with him on Thursday, Friday and a couple hours Sunday. I pumped and dumped my breastmilk because of the medicine.

So really my question is how soon did I produce antibodies and do you think he is going to get this?

Antibodies in you milk will not prevent him form getting sick, but if he does get sick they will help to lessen his symptoms and shorten the duration of the illness.

You really should get him back on breastmilk, even taking cold meds there is no need to pump and dump.
