my nipple burns on the left side when breastfeeding. It feels raw after my son is done then i pump and there are times i dont want to pump. I saw a doctor thinking it was thrush but he said it wasnt and gave me some ibofene. It is only my left side. I tried the gentian violet treatment too. need help…
Is it burning throughout nursing? Or just a brief sensation? Whenever I have a letdown I get a burning sensation in my nipple for about 20 seconds. It will go away, but my daughter is 8 months and it happens every time she nurses. If it lasts throughout your nursing then it probably isn’t your letdown reflex and needs further investigation.
