night breastfeeding
Is it normal for breastfeeding to be painful during the night and not during the daytime?

My son is two weeks old. Just when I feel like we are getting the nursing thing down during the day, it is still extremely painful at night. I have tried paying extra close attention to his latch and making sure he is fully awake. Because of the nipple pain at night, he isn’t even getting a good feedings in because I have to take him off my breast. I finally began to pump and give him a bottle at night but this isn’t ideal.

Before my baby was sleeping through the night, i also noticed that and i figured out that it was because my boobs were full with milk so nursing got painful. During the day i never had that as she nursed frequently.
