Is it harder on you breastfeeding a newborn or an older baby?
My daughter is 10 months old and I am still breastfeeding and plan on doing it a while longer. I know that you use up extra calories when breastfeeding. I just wondered if it was harder on you to nurse a new baby that eats all the time but just a little or an older baby that doesn’t eat as often but eats more at a feeding. Or is it about the same. My mom seems to think I should be eating more now.
Well, I personally think it was harder on my body when he was younger. But my baby would eat every 1.5 to 2 hours for 45 minutes at a time! It wore me out.
Now, at 9 months, it’s a breeze.
I doubt you need to eat more, unless you are feeling fatigued.
