colic or normal fussing in newborn?

whats the difference between colic and normal newborn fussing/crying?
My 4 week old tends to be fussy from time to time, and crys. She’ll be fed, changed, and burped and she’ll cry. I am breastfeeding. I know its normal for newborns to go through periods of fussings cause of gas and growth spurts but how do i know if its colic or normal newborn fussings?

I doubt it is colic.

Colic is recognizable by the baby being unusually fussy, usually around a certain time each and every day. Nothing soothes them, not even just being held and cuddled.

If it’s just time to time, it’s probably normal. Make sure she is taken care of as far as feeding, burping, changing, and such, and then just wrap her up tight and hold her. Babies have times when they just need to cry, just like adults. So, just hold her and let her cry.

At four weeks, you probably noticed she now has a different cry for different things that are wrong. You will know if she is in pain because it will be a shrieking cry. As long as there is nothing wrong with her, she probably is just unhappy at the world for a little while.
