breastfeeding question…..?
Did you find it was easier to feed on one side than the other? I can bf my newborn fine on the left, but on the right, it seems more challenging? Like when he feeds on the right, he’s having trouble keeping the milk inside his mouth and constantly pulling away and re latching on. He’s now 20 days old. I think I started off with a latch on problem. I hope it get’s easier. At least that horrible feeling when they latch on is now gone. You know, like your nipple is getting sliced open. ha
My nipples are not shaped the same. I had a hard time feeding on my left and my daughter didn’t like it either. By 5 months, my milk supply on my left was so minimal that I abandoned it altogether. I don’t know if it’s because we both favored the right or if there was always something wrong with the left. No big deal though, that’s why you have 2 breasts. We still successfully breastfed on one breast with no formula supplementing.
