Breastfeeding mothers that are on the mini pill?
How has that worked for you? How soon after birth did you begin taking it? I am getting induced Wednesday and naturally the first thing on my mind is getting back on birth control haha! I plan to breastfeed this time around though, so I need to take a mini pill my doc says…I am wondering how effective they are, when you can begin taking them without interfering with milk production, etc. Thanks!
I started on them right after my 6 week check at the doctors.
They don’t interfere with milk production (this is why breastfeeding mothers are given the mini pill instead of the combined pill).
They are approximately 97% effective.
You must remember you have to take a pill everyday, you don’t get 7 days off with the mini pill.
