Breastfeeding Storage?
im storing my breastmilk and was wonderting if anyone knows; if i heat a bottle of breastmilk and my baby doesnt finish it, can i store the remaining milk in the refrigerator for later use?
It’s the worst to “waste” breastmilk when your baby doesn’t drink it all, but the official word on this is that you can’t use breast milk twice. If you store it in the fridge, then you’ll have to try to give it to baby cold, because you shouldn’t heat it twice. Sorry. The best thing to do is to store it in smaller sizes. Try 2-4 oz. bags, then you can heat up one after the other. It’s easier to do that than have to pump milk that goes unused.
