breastfeeding exclusively pumping, does it really work?
I’m trying to breastfeeding full time again to my 12 week old.
I pump and try to give it directly from breast.
But she still re learn how to latch properly again.
While we doing that, I pump every 2 hours (full time mom).
Will it harm my supply? I work with LC at the moment, latching is the biggest issue.
I’m thinking if she never latch properly, I don’t mind pumping all the time.
Its still better than formula right?
Formula (soy or cow) give my baby problems.
Thank you!
Pumping exclusively might not work because you never empty your breasts fully with a pump.
Has the LC checked to make sure she isn’t tongue tied (where the skin that is under the tongue is up too much making her not be able to lift her tongue very much)? Most cases I’ve seen that the baby doesn’t latch very well is because the baby is tongue tied. They use their tongue differently when nursing compared to using a bottle. If she’s tongue tied, she can’t use it properly to nurse.
Hope I’ve helped..
