weight loss herbs during breastfeeding?

does anybody knows is it bad for me or for the baby to take weight loss herbs during breastfeeding????
does it affect the milk?

Herbs are not regulated by the FDA; they are exempt under the DSHEA. There are so many reports of herbs being contaminated with prescription drugs, with toxic chemicals, and with heavy metals like lead and arsenic, that I would think twice about taking them period, and especially since you are breastfeeding.
