The increased production of milk using an electric pump only?
My baby is 1 week and 3 days. I was breastfeeding, but, unfortunately, have mastitis and yeast. Tuesday, my doctor gave me antibiotics for mastitis and oral tablets of fluconazole for yeast. My child is not thrush. Because of the pain and cracks, I decided to pump a couple of days and the formula feed my baby soy base. I've heard that milk production is set in the first two weeks and I concerned that the pumping breastfeeding affect my no real long-term supply. I try to pump every two hours during the day, even if no milk comes out only encouraged to keep my chest. anyone can advise me if I speak appropriate and if there is anything I should do something? I will try to initiate breastfeeding within one again in a day or two and continue pumping the other. Thank you very much. First time mother worried.
I pumped a lot when my daughter was first born because I was in a great pain. I pump every 2-3 hours for 15 minutes and that was fine. Your milk must be good. He was also very good change from breast to bottle.
