I just had a huge breakthrough in breastfeeding!…and question:what breastfeeding problems did you have?
My son (5 1/2 months) refused from birth to eat in any position except lying down; as a result I have never been able to feed him when we’re out; I’ve always had to take along pumped milk in case he got hungry every time I went out for more than an hour. All these months I’ve been trying to get him gradually used to the idea of eating in the cradle position, but he would always kick and arch his back…until today!!!! This was just so out of the blue I am so tickled and surprised; he did a whole entire feeding of about 10 minutes in the cradle position. and it was SO COMFORTABLE!! I’m just amazed! and now without a doubt soon I won’t have to tote bottles around everywhere. YAY!!!
so to make this a question…what was the biggest problem you ever had with breastfeeding?
My biggest problem was sore nipples the first week. I had to use lanolin after every feeding and that hardly helped. I was also worried because I had a cesarean section, which caused a lot of pain, and it took 5 days for my milk came in. We overcame all of these obstacles and she is now 3 months old and has never had formula!
