The resurgence of breastfeeding in pregnancy again?
I gave birth to my son a little less than seven months and to be for baby # February 2 next. I stopped breastfeeding at three months due to the low supply, but noticed lately my breasts have become extremely congested – as my milk has fallen and leaks (especially when I'm around crying babies). Is it possible to restart the pump again? Can it be done while I'm pregnant (I fear that stimulation the nipple can cause contractions?) My son does not seem too interested in breastfeeding and a friend told me pumping and restore a healthy diet is indeed possible this time. If Please let me know what you think.
Unless you have been bleeding during pregnancy, risk of premature or have had miscarriages before repeating, is quite alright for you to breastfeed her seven months. Nipple stimulation does not cause contractions, but contractions were not productive and are a normal part of pregnancy. Many mothers breastfeed their babies for the first time during her second pregnancy. I'm too mature in February and is still breastfeeding my daughter. The only thing I would say is that I am not sure if a breast pump is capable of putting on strengthening contractions of regular milk (which is certainly a lot). We hope that someone else can answer this question before giving a chance. Also – you may find your milk supply decreases somewhere in the 5th month when your body colostrum start in his place.
