What can I do to encourage her to sit up on her own? We have a bumbo seat?
We have a bumbo seat but I just feel like it doesn’t actually encourage her to sit up as much as it encourages her to be lazy and lean against the back of it and let it support her lol. We also have a boppy pillow but I use that for breastfeeding and it’s on the other side of the house in our bedroom so i’d hate to have to forget to bring it in the living room and back and fourth everyday.. when you say support do you mean you sit with baby and let baby sit on floor and sit up or do you prop them on something?
My guys are 7 weeks old and the bumbo seat really helps them hold their heads up better. It is supplosed to help with sitting, but everybaby is different.
You can do baby sit-ups where you pull the baby forward with her arms. We do that. Or prop them into a sitting position, we do that to.
We lean ours against us, against the couch etc. Just so they are basically propped into a sitting position, but on the floor. They are young for it, but trying to get those muscles ready!
