My babies Dr told me to cut dairy out of my diet.. I’m breastfeeding..?
I just took my son to his 2 month check up. The Dr asked how he was doing at night, he does pretty good I think but hes a little fussy every couple of days. The Dr said it might be reflux.. but my first had reflux and this baby acts nothing like what my first did. I didn’t breastfeed my first, but this baby I am. So the Dr said I should try cutting dairy out of my diet. Now Im thinking about it, dairy is in almost everything I eat! So Im wondering.. should I be eating absolutely no dairy at all.. no chocolate, ice cream, mac and cheese, alfredo sauce? I make alot of dinners with cream soups. Are those out too? Im just wondering if I can still eat a little every now and then, or non at all. Im willing to do whatever it takes to keep my little one happy… But being realistic, it would be nice to have a little every now and then.
Your doc told you to avoid dairy because it is usually the main culprit for fussy babies. I too had the same problem (although I don’t eat icecream) But I loved yogurt and cheese. I just limit the amount that I eat now. I don’t drink milk at all anyways so the transition was not too hard for me. Just make sure you are taking extra calcium.
