Breastfeeding and building a milk supply?
My daughter is 6 months old. I am a stay at home Mom but would like to start pumping some so that I have some frozen milk to use at times…for rice cereal and babysitters…I am just about to introduce solids. Anyway, I have a pump. Right now I think that I am producing exactly what she needs as in our supply and demand is totally in sync. So how do I go about pumping and building up some stores without taking milk from her that she needs. Would appreciate any advice.
what you do is after she is done eating that is when you pump, you will only get a little in the begining but eventucally you will start preducing more milk cus it is in demand, its best to do it around the same time of day too if thats at all possible
***DO NOT listen that person that said use normal milk for your baby’s rice cereal!!!! You arent allowed to give your
baby cows milk until he/she is AT LEAST a year old!!!! & it is always good to have back up milk in case an emergency comes up nd you are not able to feed your baby, its better to have to much than not enough! & why would you waste money on formula when you have FREE milk, i wouldnt listen to anything Linda R said, i would continue to build up a supply, like i said before…its better to have to much than not enough!
