I stopped breastfeeding a week ago. I didn’t get sore or engorged. Now I have a rather large and painful lump?
IT is located right behind my nipple, it kinda feels like a clogged duct did, but different. Is this normal? Both of my grandmothers died to a cancer that stemmed from pre-existing breast cancer. I am a little nervous about it, but I do have an appt. set up. Any input would really help.
You should get checked by your ob/gyn. This did happen to me while I was still nursing. It was a clogged duct, but I also found out that I had what’s called fibroids. They’re little hard spots that are just there, it’s genetic. Tons of people have them. It does make it harder to find out if there’s something wrong yourself when doing your own checks. Breast cancer runs in my family too, so I keep a pretty close eye on the girls. Good luck!
