If I stop breastfeeding on a friday how long will it take for my breast to dry up?
This really depends on how much production was going on before. Were you nursing all day, just at night, or just one feed a day. If it was an all day thing, then it might be a few weeks until they completely stop producing milk. I suggest pumping a bit to “ease” the engorging. If it was just one feed a day, you should stop producing within one week. I’ve heard many old wives tales about cabbage and stuff, but I’ve known MANY women that didn’t dry up any quicker with cabbage.
