How many burp cloths, receiving blankets, and bibs do I need?

I hope and plan on breastfeeding so are bibs for a newborn really necessary? I’ve read that babies do not spit up as often, and if he/she did then I can quickly catch it with a burp cloth right? But, then again, I may have to change his clothes altogether b/c it might drip on his clothing when it would have spilled onto his bib! Thanks!

I am exclusively breastfeeding. You will definitely need burp cloths and bibs. Even if he doesn’t spit up as much, he will DROOL ! You will need about 10 or so receiving blankets, and then about 5 or 6 of the bigger, but not huge, cuddly blankets. I would say around 20 or so burp cloths. Every baby is different!
