SMA wysoy formula?
Does anyone have any experiences of SMA wysoy (soya milk)? I took my son to the docs today – he is 9wks old. When he was born he was on Cow & Gate premium but by about 3wks old my HV advised I change to Cow & Gate comfort as he was screaming with pain alot during the day and was really struggling with wind.
He was a bit better but still not settled – He is possetting alot of milk which is mucusy, he has a very snuffly nose & his nappies are always green and smell awful. He has developed a rash (looks like excema) on his cheeks which yesterday got worse.
My doc thinks he may have a milk intolerance so prescribed SMA Wysoy which I have started giving him today.
I am reading a few horror stories about it affecting fertility and causing probs with teeth because of high glucose levels and am now worried!!
By the way – I tried breastfeeding with my 1st and am unable to do it (she ended up in hospital).

I am just in the same boat as you at the moment my baby is 3 and half months old and he does nothing but cried ive been to homeopathy a cure of colic doctors and hospital but in the end my health nurse told me not to put him on sma soya as he causes probs with bowls and teeth in years to come so she told me to put him on sma LF he has stop crying well not as bad but gettim very hard for him to drink it., so maybe try him on the sma LF cause it doesnt cause them prob sma soya does.. hope that helps you and just lettin you no i am in the same boat as you
