Can baby formula cause a fever and rash on a baby?
My son is 6 months old now and I started giving him a little bit of formula and breast milk because of work it was getting hard to pump enough milk in the mornings. 3 Days after starting some formula he started getting high fevers 100-102, getting bad gas a tummy ache and crying. I stopped giving him formula 2 days after he started getting flu like symptoms. The dr. said that he probably just got a virus and teething at the same time. on the 4th day he started to look and feel so much better and the morning of the 5th day he broke out in a rash all over his chest,stomach,back,neck and face!
Im not sure if it is the aftermath of a nasty virus or if its maybe from the formula I started using? Im strictly breastfeeding again because I am too scared to do formula now..can formula cause fevers? I know it can cause a rash and stomach ache but I just dont know..please help
Sounds like he has a virus and the formula is just coincidental. I’ve heard of formula doing a lot of things, but not fevers.
