How can i get my 1 year old to stop breastfeeding?
My son just turned 1 year old, and has been breatfed by my wife ever since he was born. But now he wont go sleep with me or her unless he is attached to her like a cow. It has been going on for the last week and we need to find an alternative. We try giving him a bottle and he wont take it. Tried the pacifier and he wont take it. Everything that worked when he was smaller doesnt work anymore. Tried letting him cry in his crib for 30min-1 hour didnt work either, he would just stand there screaming his lungs out. And its not only getting him to sleep, but KEEPING him asleep that is impossible too. He still wakes up sometimes every hour in the night crying and the only thing that calms him is breastfeeding. What can we do??
I am going through the same thing with my son. He just turned one on nov. 19. He will only sleep with me and he has to have the breast. The other night my boyfriend and I left him over night with his grandma and he did just fine with the bottle. I think as long as mommy is not around baby realizes he has no choice. It is bottle or nothing. Good luck.
