I may be pregnant but don’t have a regular cycle. When to test?
I’m still breastfeeding my 13 month old and my husband and I are trying to conceive. We really want another baby now but aren’t trying too hard to conceive because it may be hard to do while breastfeeding.
I can’t really chart my cycle because I have only had 3 periods since I got pregnant in December 2006. They were in June, August, and October of this year. It could be a pattern that my cycle is 2 months, or it could be completely random.
Anyway, the past few days the smell of anything weird has been making me gag (a serious problem I had during pregnancy) and any food that I don’t usually eat makes me gag too. My problem is that because I don’t know my cycle, I don’t know when to do a pregnancy test. I hate to do a test and get a negative result because it is too early to tell. What do you think? Also, for those who got pregnant while still breastfeeding, what were your experiences in general? I can’t find that much about it. Thanks.
Hi there, my periods are about 5-6 weeks apart which is a real nightmare.I am taking clomid, for about 5 months, have had no joy.Your in a better position to judge if you are pregnant as you have been through it once already. It is best to take a pregnancy test, maybe take one now,if it`s negative take another one a week later if you still have the symptoms. If that is negative seek advice from your GP…..good luck.
