How does the medicine
Antacids neutralize stomach acid and increase the pH of the stomach. This action also inhibits activity of pepsin, a digestive enzyme that can be irritating to the lining the stomach. They also increase the tone of the muscular valve between the stomach and esophagus, which helps prevent stomach acid from entering the esophagus and cause heartburn.
Uses
To treat stomach ache because excessive acid production (including heartburn, acid regurgitation, heartburn and stomach).
