34 weeks pregnant, making a hospital bag list, help?
I’m 34 weeks, 1 day and I’m starting to think about packing a hospital bag. I will be 36 weeks on March 1st so I’m planning on having my bag packed by the end of this month, is that too soon? Anyway, I want to start off by first making a list of things I need and would love some help from other mommies and mommies to be:) I will be breastfeeding so do I need to bring my pump?
Here is what I am thinking so far, please feel free to add/subtract things you think I need/don’t need.
2 pairs of undies
going home outfit for me
going home outfit for baby
slippers
snacks for daddy
psp/laptop for daddy
extra undies/socks/outfit for daddy
video camera/digital camera
cash to pay parking fees?
This is all I can think of so far, anything else?
you should have more than one outfit for the baby. different sizes. i only packed one and it absolutely swallowed my little boy.
you should pack a small amount of wet wipes and diapers(they should provide some at the hospital)
sanitary pads for yourself(BIG ones lol trust me)
soap, shampoo, lotion (you never know if you’ll have a c section and have an extended stay)
receiving blankets for the baby
i’ll try to think of anything else i’m forgetting. it seems like i am forgetting something
thought of more:
extra cash or a credit card for the pictures they take in the hospital of the baby
don’t forget to pack a few things to keep you entertained, labor won’t necessarily be over quickly
also you should try to make a birth plan. it might not be used completely but it’s nice for them to know in general what you want. there are lots of birth plan generators. i used www.birthplan.com
